Making the World Round Again
Speech/Presentation by Matthew Egan Rochte
While pessimism rules and hope appears scarce, a recent convergence of business, science, and spirituality is creating conscious capitalism and restoring hope to the future.

First Given at the Northland Bioneers Conference Sat 21st of September 2006

Conscious Capitalism: is the dynamic matrix of social, economic, and spiritual trends transforming free enterprise (Megatrends2010 p45) recognized by integrity, transparency; enlightened governance as well as higher social and environment standards; and awareness of how actions will effect constituencies of shareholders and stakeholders.

Spiritual Capital: is the amount of spiritual knowledge, and expertise available to an individual or a culture where spiritual is taken to mean “meaning, values, and fundamental purposes.” Spiritual Capital is our shared meaning, our shared purpose, our shared vision of what most deeply matters in life and how these are implemented in our lives and in our behavior strategies. It is capital that is increased by drawing on the resources of the human spirit. (Spiritual Capital p27)
